Catarman MIATF Resolution No. 7 requires employees to work from home

CATARMAN, Northern Samar, Sept. 10 (PIA) -- With the ongoing contact tracing of possible contacts of confirmed positive cases being conducted by the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF) of Catarman in Northern Samar, the task force approved Resolution No. 7  requiring employees in both public and private firms to work from home from September 7-20, 2020.

The resolution stated that employees or personnel who are residents of the identified high-risk barangays for COVID-19 in Catarman shall be allowed to work from home to contain the spread of the virus.

The resolution also encouraged a work scheme on affected employees during the period while waiting for the result of the swab test and advised concerned individuals to undergo mandatory quarantine as they might be close or secondary contacts of a person waiting for the result of a swab test.

Concerned offices and private institutions should implement a suitable work plan which will support the goal of the task force to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus in their workplace considering a possible exposure.

The resolution further advised concerned offices to disinfect the workplace and its surroundings.

The MIATF Resolution Number 6 identified high-risk barangays Baybay, Calachuchi, Casoy, Cawayan, Daganas, Dalakit, Ipil-ipil, Sampaguita, UEP Zone 1, UEP Zone 2, UEP Zone 3, and Yakal.

Lastly, the task force, through the said resolution called on government agencies, non-government offices, including business establishments to provide them with the list of their respective employees who are residents of the high-risk areas to aid the latter and the BHERTs concerned in the contact tracing and monitoring of individuals who might have possible exposures to confirmed COVID-19 positive cases.
