LGU-Lagawe locks down 3 barangays for contract tracing

LAGAWE, Ifugao, Sept. 26(PIA) - - The local government unit here conducts intensified contact tracing activities to abate the spread of the Coronavirus Disease – 19 (COVID)-19 as the municipality recorded its 11th case on Thursday.

Mayor Martin Habawel, Jr. said the patient is a student of ta previous COVID-19 patient residing at Tungngod, Lagawe.

“Considering that the patient is a third level transmission of Lagawe 06, the MHO is tasked to make an extensive contact tracing up to the third level contacts of the newly confirmed case,” Habawel said

To facilitate contact tracing, the mayor placed barangays Tungngod, Poblacions South and West under temporary lockdown until midnight of October 1, 2020 for the needed health measures.

Meanwhile,  barangay Mungayang of Kiangan municipality  is placed under calculated lockdown for a period of  three  days from  September 25until 1:00PM of September 28.This is to give the contact tracing team sufficient time to locate possible contacts of COVID-19 patients and perform swab tests.

Movements of persons to, from and within said areas shall only be for access to essential good, performance of indispensable work and medical emergencies. The barangays are advised also to set-up control points to regulate the entrance and exit to their localities is for essential and/or urgent reasons only. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
