TESDA NCR leads urban community agri project opening in Pasay

PASIG CITY, Sept. 26 (PIA) -- The Technical Education Skills and Development Authority-National Capital Region (TESDA NCR) has facilitated the opening of the NCR Urban Community Agricultural Project/Urban Garden: Vegetable Production and Concoction/Extract Preparation at Brgy. 178, Zone 19, Maricaban in Pasay City. 

The food security project is made possible through TESDA Pasay-Makati District Office, its Pasay-Makati Training and Assessment Center (PMDTAC) and paricipating barangay.

Barangay 178 Captain Virgilio Mabag joined the simple ceremony along with 10 residents who are also trainees of the said community agriculture project. 

According to TESDA NCR, the pilot project is part of the initiatives of the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) course.

Succeeding batches are likewise scheduled until the end of the year, it said.

TESDA NCR added that precautionary measures are being implemented all throughout the training period. (PIA-NCR)
