DTI delivers livelihood kits to Bukidnon former rebels, fire victims

MARAMAG, Bukidnon, Nov. 25—One hundred fifteen former rebels and two fire victims received more than P200,000 worth of livelihood starter kits from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon.

The distribution came after the beneficiaries from seven barangays in Quezon, Maramag, Valencia, and San Fernando towns in Bukidnon completed the Entrepreneurial Development Training.

The two family heads whose houses were razed by fire also received the same livelihood kits.

The starter kits include component items for fresh mushroom, mushroom processing, dishwashing liquid making, and barber shops’ livelihood kits.

Maramag Mayor Atty. Jose Joel Doromal, Special Assistant for CORDS Bukidnon Jorge Baula, DTI-10 Regional Director Linda Boniao, along with DTI Bukidnon Provincial Director Eriberto Taban-ud’s team spearheaded the starter kits distribution under the “Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG)” program funded by the Office of Senator Bong Go.

DTI’s PPG is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program for micro enterprises, giving priority in areas affected by health disasters such as pandemics, fire incidents, and other calamities, including individuals and enterprises in the national capital region who have voluntarily moved to identified rural areas under the “Balik Probinsya, Balik Pag-asa” program for the purpose of establishing or relocating a microenterprise.
