PH Navy ties-up with Rotary Club to bring relief aid to typhoon victims

PASIG CITY, Nov. 28 (PIA) – The Philippine Navy and international service organization, Rotary Club recently partnered to bring relief assistance to families affected by the recent typhoons that hit the country.

Navy personnel and the Rotary Club of Goa Partido distributed some 600 relief packs to families severely affected by the recent typhoons in some barangays of Lagonoy and Presentacion in Partido District of Camarines Sur Friday.

According to the Philippine Navy, the relief packs contain rice donated by Support Our Troops Foundation and assorted canned goods, coffee, creamer and noodles from various partner donors such as Society of Junior Fellows, Navy journalists and other individuals through S2JO Charmaine Dela Cruz PN.

Likewise, the Navy distributed a total of 30 water filters that were donated by Secours Populaire Francais and its partner Mirasol Outreach Foundation, Inc. Face masks were also distributed to tricycle drivers and motorcycle riders courtesy of Levinga Shop of Legaspi City.

Rotary Club of Goa president Pol Malonda and Businesswoman Regina Villamor Melchor provided the wing van used to transport the relief goods and water filters. (PN/PIA-NCR)
