ILOILO CITY, Nov. 4 (PIA) - - The Western Visayas Regional Inter-Agency Task Force (RIATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has granted the requests of the three municipalities of Iloilo province for suspension of the arrival of locally stranded individuals (LSIs).
Ihrough the RIATF Resolution No.52, it ordered the suspension of the arrival of LSIs in the municipalities of San Dionisio and Barotac Nuevo towns from October 28 until November 3.
Also, arrival of LSIs has been temporarily stopped in Leganes town until November 6.
On October 14, the municipality of San Dionisio sent a letter which was endorsed by the province of Iloilo to the RIATF requesting for the temporary suspension for the decongestion of its quarantine facilities.
Through a letter dated October 19, the municipality of Barotac Nuevo informed the RIATF about its request for the temporary suspension to also decongest their quarantine facilities.
The municipality of Leganes, in a letter dated October 23, requested a 10- day moratorium for the decongestion, disinfection, and preparation and completion of additional quarantine facilities.
