DTI Christmas Fair highlights Rizaleño products

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Dec. 2 (PIA)-- Rizaleño food and non-food products take the centerstage at the Deparment of Trade and Industry-Rizal's "Pamaskong Handog ng Tindahang Rizalenyo" Christmas Fair at SM City Masinag, Antipolo City.

DTI partnered with SM City Masinag, Samahan ng mga Rizalenyo sa Sektor ng Agrikultura at Pagkain (SARAP) and the Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association Inc. (REMAI)  for a christmas market which runs from November 27 to December 13.

Products range from handicrafts, and bags to local delicacies and processed food products all manufactured by Rizaleño Micro, Small and Medium scale entrepreneurs (MSMEs)

DTI Rizal Provincial Director Mercedes Parreño stated during the fair's launch that the fair aims to help local entrepreneurs to bounce back from the quarantine period and the damages from Typhoon Ulysses in November.

"Naglakas-loob kami to bring out and give hope to our SMEs. You may find just a number of them around but you know some of them, talagang lumubog sa baha," Director Parreño remarks.

"However, for some who are afraid to go out and go to the mall, the products of Rizaleños are available for all of you. Shop now at the Tindahang Rizalenyo. This is the online platform that only the province of Rizal has."

Director Parreño describes the Tindahang Rizalenyo as an innovative online store which started as a way to help local businesses sell their products despite the restrictions placed during the lockdown period in the country earlier this year.

The Tindahang Rizalenyo website can be accesed at https://ift.tt/39D1P1j, while participating entrepreneurs also have their products on display at its physical shop at the DTI Rizal Provincial Office in Antipolo City. (GG/PIA-Rizal)
