PRO6 teaches cops on anger management, good values

ILOILO CITY, Jan. 6 (PIA) – “Every police officer must learn how to control their emotions in every situation,”  said an officer of the Police Regional Office 6.

In an Ethical Leadership and Values Formation lecture, January 4 at the Caseñas Hall, Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B Delgado in Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City, Police Coloel Noel Ponsaran highlighted on the 90-10 Rule on Anger Management and Non-Violent Communication.

Ponsaran said that “those topics are important on the day to day activity of every police officer. They must learn how to control their emotions in every situation.”

Also given emphasis during the lecture was on the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices which is among the priorities of the Phlippine National Police leadership, a press release from PRO 6 Regional Public Information Officer Lt. Col. Joem J. Malong said.

On the other hand, Police Colonel Martin Defensor, Jr., who was the inspirational speaker during the opening of the lecture, stressed the importance of said seminar to educate the police personnel in conducting themselves properly.

“These are important as we uphold the PNP’s makadiyos, makakalikasan, makatao and makabayan values,” Defensor said.

The activity was in line with PNP’s Ethics Day Celebration being celebrated every 1st Monday of January.

It was participated in by 43 police personnel composed of the members of the Regional Staff, Assistant Chiefs of divisions and three Police Commissioned Officers from the lowers units and mobile force companies, Malong said. (PIA6/Story and photos from RPIO-PRO6)
