TESDA, QC LGU provide training, starter kits to 100 scholars

PASIG CITY, Jan. 27 (PIA) -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) – Quezon City District, in partnership with the Quezon City Government, through the Quezon City Skill and Livelihood Foundation, Inc. (QCSLFI), conducted livelihood skills training for 100 cake making scholars.

The scholars under the foundation of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte have finished their training program and are ready to take on their career as they also received starter toolkits during their graduation.

The starter toolkit is part of the benefits received by the scholars initiated by Mayor Belmonte to ensure that the scholars would continue to pursue their careers.

Likewise, the QCSLFI launched its ‘Schoolinary Bus’ and ‘Sanayang Bus’ for future scholars in cookery, bread and pastry production, as well as TESDA’s computer programs. The buses were also inaugurated by Mayor Joy to make TESDA programs more accessible to the public.

The local chief executive continues to extend its service, through TESDA’s training programs to help those who are most in need.
