Ifugao police officers hold  Valentine's Day outreach activities

MAYOYAO, Ifugao, Feb. 23 (PIA) - - Police officers in the province conducted various outreach activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Personnel from the Ifugao Police Provincial Mobile Force Company gave hygiene kits, grocery items and clothings to 15 beneficiaries in barangay Cambulo, Banaue. They also lectured on anti-terrorism awareness, illegal drugs and other programs and activities of the Philippine National Police to gain their support for a peaceful and progressive community.

The Banaue Municipal Police Station (MPS) serenaded and provided gifts and balloons to children with special needs under the care of the Noah’s Arc Ministries Foundation in the municipality.

“This activity was initiated as a way of showing our love and concern to those individuals with special needs and to manifest also the station’s support to the programs and objectives of the foundation,” the Banaue MPS stated.

In Mayoyao, Municipal Police Station personnel serenaded and gave flowers to medical teams of the municipal health office and barangay health workers of Mapawoy as a gesture of appreciation for being partners in the implementation of health protocols and checkpoint.

The police officers also visited and gave food packs, snacks and serenaded a senior citizen living alone in line with the PNP program dubbed “Your Sunset is my Dawn”.

A Valentine's Day outreach program was also held at barangay Banhal in partnership with the municipal government.

Meanwhile, the Asipulo Municipal Police Station provided simple gifts to some senior citizens from the different barangays as part of the station’s social services to the elderly.

An outreach activity was held at sitio Ga’dang Village in Sta. Maria by personnel of Alfonso Lista MPS serving dozens of residents of said place. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
