QUEZON CITY, Feb. 7 (PIA) - The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) - NCR Regional Director Mito-on Ibra, and Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary for Regulations Datu Zamzamin Ampatuan discussed possible joint programs to promote Halal this year.
Proposals presented included projects on strengthening the halal industry, a joint program in establishing a halal hatchery in Metro Manila, establishing a Kadiwa Bagsakan Center, vegetable production training, promotion of urban gardening, distribution of growing kits with seeds, and a webinar on urban gardening.
NCMF and Secretary Saidamen B. Pangarungan look forward to working closely with the Department of Agriculture for future partnerships, especially in strengthening and promoting halal programs and livelihood projects which will surely benefit Muslim stakeholders. (MCG/PIA-IDPD/NCMF)
