CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 31 (PIA) - At least four families from Isabela consisting of 11 individuals became the first beneficiaries of the Provincial Government of Isabela’s Balik Probinsiya, Balik Pag-Asa program (BP2) this year.
The four families who came from the National Capital Region (NCR) were immediately given cash assistance by the officials of the Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI).
The provincial government gave P5,000.00 each for head of the family and P1,000 each for each family member including 10 kilos of rice, a box of mineral water, grocery packs and health supplements.
The families also received vegetable seeds and seedlings from the Department of Agriculture (DA), food packs and hygiene kits from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and health supplements and boxes of face masks from the Department of Health (DOH).
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) also offered Livelihood Seeding Program - Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) and skills training to the beneficiaries for their livelihood.
The families were welcomed by provincial officials of Isabela led by Provincial Planning and Development Officer (PPDO) and BP2 Focal Person Atty. Eduardo Cabantac at the border checkpoint in Cordon, Isabela last week.
The beneficiaries underwent triage at the DOH-2 medical team tent and underwent the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing with negative result.(MDCT/BME/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
