CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 31 (PIA) - The Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI) has awarded P50,000 assistance to each women’s organization in the cities and municipalities of the province.
The awarding of assistance is part of the women’s month celebration held at Balai, Capitol Compound, City of Ilagan and attended by women leaders from the different cities and municipalities of Isabela.
Gov. Rodolfo Albano III handed the financial assistance during the celebration as he encourages the women leaders to be role models to their members and share their knowledge and skills to other women to become productive and contributor of development.
Meanwhile, Nagkaisang Magsasaka ng Isabela Agriculture Cooperative chairperson and former Representative Ana Cristina Go urged each women leader to use the assistance given by the government for worthwhile projects that will benefit their members.
“Sa ngayon isipin natin kung ano ang maitutulong ng kababaihan ngayong may pandemiya, ano ang kaya nating gawin for the community as wives and as women leaders in our localities,” Go said. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
