Calamba City, Mar. 4 (PIA) - Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) will soon become a provider of reliable and affordable medical services in the CALABARZON region after the Department of Health (DOH-CALABARZON) and the City Government of Bacoor recently signed the implementation of its five-year Development Plan.
DOH-CALABARZON Regional Director Eduardo Janairo said their partnership with Bacoor will help STRH make top-notch healthcare services in the region more accessible to the public, courtesy of a highly skilled and stable roster of medical personnel.
“As a health and medical institution for the disadvantaged and an excellent provider of care for the critically-ill patients, STRH has initiated the desire to deliver health and medical care that are responsive to the needs of the population in line with the demands of the modern times.” Janairo said.
The region’s top doctor also expressed his confidence that the 5-year development plan will help STRH grow into a regional training and teaching hospital complete with a research and development unit to help improve their services.
With an estimated cost of P500-M, the 5-year development project will help develop STRH into a 200-bed capacity level 2 hospital.
STRH will also play a vital role in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout as the vaccination site for the Province of Cavite, together with the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (GEAMH), Ospital ng Imus (ONI), and the De La Salle University Medical Center.
They are also leading the region’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by opening an outpatient clinic and vaccination center, as well as the expansion of their clinical laboratory. They are also implementing a ‘No Refusal Policy’ that helped treat more patients in dire need of medical assistance
Aside from providing assistance in the government’s inoculation program, STRH also provides various medical services, such as TeleMedicine and TeleDentistry, Women and Child Protection Desk, STRH Command Center for Patient Referral, Mother and Baby Friendly Hospital Unit, as well as the provision of ICU and Respiratory Unit.
