Brgy Bulo residents in Kalinga  raise aid for vehicular accident victims

Through the practice of "ad-achang" or "binadang", residents of Brgy Bulo, Tabuk City  raise  cash & rice aid to families of the 13 casualties in the road mishap in their place, on April 18.

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, April  25 (PIA) – The  yKalinga spirit of  bayanihan  was displayed once again  by   residents of Barangay Bulo, here, who raised cash and rice aid to families of the 13 casualties in the road mishap in their place last April 18.

Bulo Punong Barangay Francisco Agwayas turned-over the P30,000 cash plus 19 cavans of rice which they collected through the Kalinga practice of “ad-achang” or “binadang” to families of the victims.

Last Sunday, an  SUV-car carrying 15 people plunged into the irrigation canal while on its way  to  Bulo Lake killing 13 on-board.

Agwayas expressed deep gratitude to his community for the sincere display of the ad-achang and binaddang spirit in situations like this. Quantity doesn’t matter, what counts is the heart for a brother in dire need, he said.

"I believe the care we offer, big or small, will give significant answer to those in need and we will carry-on this living heritage handed to us by our forebears," he said. (JDP/LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
