Healthguard QR Code not a substitute to other entry requirements in Quirino

CABARROGUIS, Quirino, May 2 (PIA)—The Healthguard QR Code which was rolled out in the province on May 1 could not be used as entry requirement  here in lieu of the required travel  documents for APOR and Non-APOR  stipulated under the Executive Order nos. 7 and 8 issued by Gov. Dax Cua.

In the regular Governor’s Hour radio/online program, Gov. Cua explained that Non-APORs who have important travels to Quirino still need to present medical certificate, negative Antigen test or RT-PCR test result to the checkpoints to be able to enter the province.

The governor added that the Healthguard  QR code system is being implemented for contact tracing purposes and  for generating data analytics to provide agencies insights in providing healthcare services.

If one of HealthGuard user has been identified  as suspected or probable COVID-19 patient, the HealthGuard system will  generate contacts report of HealthGuard users to inform the  close contacts  thru text messaging.

“Sa  tulong ng QSU at ISU, ay isinusulong natin ang Healthguard system for contact tracing, pag naka QR code,  mas madali na nating mamomonitor kung sinu-sino ang mga magkakasama at any given time,” Gov. Cua said.

Healthguard QR code scanners were already installed at the seven border checkpoints such as San Antonio, San Isidro & Bannawag of Diffun; Dibibi, Cabarroguis; Progreso, Aglipay; Villa Norte, Maddela and Dicimungal, Nagtipunan.

Gov. Cua further said that the provincial government will be flexible in the implementation of the contact tracing system and QR code scanning will not be mandatory at the seven checkpoints under the Phase 1 of rollout to give ample time for the preparation of the enforcers and the Healthguard users.

But QR code  scanning  will already be mandatory at the Provincial Capitol, Quirino Capitol People’s Mart, Quirino Watersports Complex, Capitol gymnasium, LEX building, Provincial Social Welfare & Development Office, Diffun District Hospital, Aglipay District Hospital and Maddela District Hospital.

QR code scanners will also be installed in some other business establishments and all municipal local government offices during the next phase of implementation. (MDCT/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
