NV PDRRMO Emergency OpCen upgraded

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 11(PIA) - The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office’s (PDRRMO) equipments and facilities have been upgraded to serve Novo Vizcayanos better in times of disasters and emergencies.

Robert Corpuz, PDRRM officer said  they will soon launch their state-of-the-art  Emergency Operations Center (OpCen) which will improve coordination and communication among the MDRRMOs and the PDRRMO with its radio communication and repeater systems.

He added that the upgraded OpCen will also have a dedicated internet access that will also provide disaster and emergency-related information among the netizens.

“Our office was recently visited by Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Regional Director Harold Cabreros who supported it. Preparations are also underway for the approval and launching  of our  Dial 911 Emergency Hotline service,” Corpuz said.

He said the upgrading of the PDRRMO OpCen has been conceived to upgrade their equipment, facilities and systems to blend with the present trend of communication tools and with the internet.(MDCT/BME/PIA-2 Nueva Vizcaya)
