Pasig LGU urges establishments to secure Safety Seal certificate

PASIG CITY, June 7 (PIA) -- The City Government of Pasig urges business establishments to secure their Safety Seal from the local government. 

Under the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01, s. 2021 signed by the Department of Employment (DOLE), Department of Health (DOH), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Tourism (DOT), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the DILG Memorandum No. 2021-053, as adopted by the City Government of Pasig through EO No. PCG-44, s. 2021, a Safety Seal Certification Program will be implemented in local government units to ensure that establishments are observing minimum public health standards set by the government to curb the spread of COVID-19.

According to the city government, under EO No. PCG-44, s. 2021, establishments who wish to be granted with the Safety Seal will have to go through these steps:

1. Visit this link: http://safetyseal.pasigcity.gov.ph/

2. Fill out the online Application Form.

3. The City Government will assess the applications received and will schedule inspection of establishments.

4. The Inspection Committee will visit the establishments to assess its compliance to the minimum public health standards and protocols.

5. If an establishment passed the inspection, they will receive a soft copy of the Safety Seal through the email address indicated in the Application Form.

The Safety Seal Certification Program is a joint effort of the national and local government.

Validity of the Safety Seal is six months and will be renewable depending on the compliance of establishments to the minimum public health standards. (PIA NCR)
