QUEZON CITY, Dec. 1 (PIA) -- Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque announced in the virtual press briefing today the month-long community quarantine qualification of the country.
Metro Manila, Batangas, Iloilo City, Tacloban City, Lanao del Sur, Iligan, Davao City, and Davao will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from December 1 to 31.
Meanwhile, the remaining unnamed parts of the country are still under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
Roque also reiterated Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Ano remarks during the meeting with the President yesterday November 30 that Christmas parties, Christmas caroling, and mass gatherings like family reunions are not allowed. Children in areas under GCQ, however, are allowed to go to the mall as long as they are with their parents. The local government and Metro Manila Council will issue rules and guidelines on this matter. (TNN/PIA-IDPD)
