LTFRB central, NCR offices extend deadline for various transactions

CALOOCAN CITY, April 28 (PIA) -- The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) extended the deadline for filing important documents in the LTFRB Central Office and LTFRB-National Capital Region amid the implementation of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in Metro Manila.

Based on the Board Resolution, right? 35, the following transactions were extended to areas affected by MECQ:

1. Application for Consolidation
According to Industry Consolidation under the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), the deadline of Application for Consolidation will be extended until April 28, 2021

2. Filing of Extension of Validity of CPC
- The Application for Extension of validity of Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) with expiry from 22th to 26th April 2021 will be extended until 28th April.

3. Issuance of Provisional Authorities and Special Permits
- Provisional Authority (PA) and Special Permits (SP) with expiry from 22th to 26th April 2021 will be extended until 28th April.

4. Filing of Compliance Orders/Resolutions/Decisions, and Filing of Motions
- Allowing the submission of Compliance Orders / Resolutions / Decisions and Filing of Motions based on PUV operators who need to answer from 22th to 26th April 2021 will be extended to 28th. of April.

The LTFRB reminded the transacting public that the agency will not impose fines on such transactions / submission in areas where ECQ / MECQ is effective.
