Dupax del Norte LGU offers community pantry for villagers

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 3 (PIA) - The local government unit in Dupax del Norte has put up its own Community Pantry to provide free food requirements for their villagers, especially poor families.

Every day, poor villagers line - up and wait for their que to get their food items such as assorted vegetables, root crops, rice, canned goods, eggs, noodles, bread and biscuits, coffee, sugar and milk, among others.

Names of donors are also acknowledged inside the Community Pantry, alongside with their donated goods while LGU workers assist patronizers.

Mayor Timothy Cayton said their Community Pantry dubbed "Bayanihan sa bayan ng Dupax del Norte”, located at the LGU Compound was conceived to provide free food requirements for the poor villagers during this time of COVID-19 pandemic.

"We have started accepting donations in April 26 for our Community Pantry. We welcome donors, all are welcome to get available goods but please follow public health protocols always," he said.
